Arta Peninsula

Arta Peninsula

The Arta Peninsula is situated in the northeast of the island with a mountain range which is not too steep and has many walks some of which lead to the coast.

Travel from Port De Pollensa via the road to Can Picafort and having passed Alcudia follow the signs to Arta. From Arta head towards Parc Natural De Llevant which is well signposted. The Parc has its own car park and visitors centre with plenty of maps of the area showing the best walking routes to follow all of which are clearly marked.

If you head north from the visitors centre through the pines and farmlands you will see numerous migrants as well as Hoopoes, Cirl Buntings and Crossbills. During the Autumn, Black Restarts and Booted Eagles are common.

If you venture into the mountains Thekla Larks and Stonechats are in abundance.
